The Lombardini diesel range was enhanced by gasoline engines (0-40 hp) Kohler, particularly well-suited for Lawn&Gardens. In 2007 Lombardini entered Kohler Group. Located in Wisconsin is one of the biggest private companies of United States. Kohler engages in a wide of businesses, from ceramic to furnishing, and from hotel to engine for electric power generators. Lombardini, the third diesel engines world’s producer (up to 50 kW) and the segment market leader, joined Kohler Power Group, contributing to its growth.

In 1933, together with his brothers Alberto and Rainero, Adelmo launced their own business and founded the company “Officine Meccaniche Fratelli Lombardini”. He bought the facilities of an engineering firm and its related foundry, located on the outskirts of Reggio Emilia.
