Quality

Because of the prime importance that Lombardini has consistently attributed to problems associated with quality – which is managed with a clear-cut approach involving prevention and ongoing improvement – and because the company pays constant attention to developments in the laws and regulations governing the sector, Lombardini successfully obtained ISO 9001 certification of its Quality System in December 1995. Subsequently, in March 2002, the company was awarded special QS-9000 certification for companies doing business in the automotive sector.
 
Lombardini does not consider the attainment of these goals to be an end in itself, but rather as a step along the path toward excellence, as expressed through constant investments in staff, technologies, company organization and methodologies, and the ongoing revision of a Quality System that now complies with ISO 9001:2000 (Vision 2000) and ISO/TS 16949 standards.
