Ecomove
The most complete system for high-efficiency generation of clean energy. The energy generation system called the Hybrid Unit consists of:
- An internal combustion engine from the FOCS and CHD family, with a microprocessor-equipped electronic control unit
- A tri-phase, liquid-cooled, asynchronous electric motor
- A liquid-cooled, electronic power system (reversible AC/DC converter) with a microprocessor-equipped control board
The use of a Lombardini Hybrid Group as an auxiliary source of electric power, in a series hybrid type of architecture connected to a battery system with a limited storage capacity, enables the restricted range of electrical systems to be exceeded, while offering the added advantage of very low overall emissions as compared with any motor vehicle or construction vehicle with thermal propulsion.
The great operational flexibility of the Hybrid Group allows the system not only to be run as an auxiliary generator which recharges the battery pack, but also to produce the energy needed by the vehicle to dynamically keep up with changing power requirements. This method of managing energy flows improves the overall output of the vehicle, with resulting reduced fuel consumption and enhanced vehicle range.
