The first engine

The first engine. The Lombardini brothers (Adelmo, Rainero and Alberto) began producing internal combustion engines that were intended for stationary  applications. The basic idea was to facilitate human labor by employing mechanization to alleviate fatigue.
Eleven years later, in 1933, their success was rewarded with the creation of the Lombardini Company.
