An object, a product – any work is the result of a world vision, of the passion and labour which generated them. The union between the ideas and the end result is the verb "to make". For 80 years Lombardini has been making diesel engines of the highest quality, designed in every detail to satisfy their customers' requirements. When, in 1933, Adelmo Lombardini realized that agriculture needed engines and that mechanization was necessary to help man to work the land, he founded the company and set about making those engines. Ever since, Lombardini has continued to imagine what man needs, and will need, and has done its part to satisfy those needs, producing diesel engines which reflect its philosophy – we are what we make. And we continue to make the best, as we have always done. Today Lombardini, now part of the American multinational Kohler, has four branch offices in Europe (France, Spain, Germany and the UK), a local office in Singapore, 4 production plants (2 in Italy, in Reggio Emilia and Rieti, one in Martin, Slovakia, and one in Aurangabad, India), 150 distributors and more than 2000 service points including spare parts and technical service centres.
